Superfast fibre broadband lives up to its nameIn true superfast style, we are pleased to announce that Phase 2 of the Superfast West Yorkshire & York programme has sped past the halfway stage!
Our target is to build a further 400 structures and roll out superfast fibre broadband to 32,938 homes and businesses by the end of June 2018, with 26,905 of those premises accessing speeds of more that 24Mbps. More than halfway through Phase 2 programme delivery, we are celebrating 26,490 total premises passed and over 200 structures completed, meaning we are well on target.
With so many people now benefitting from a faster, more reliable internet connection, it has opened up a whole new world of opportunities.
From simultaneously downloading a movie, surfing the internet and playing games online to staying in touch with family worldwide, residents across West Yorkshire can reap the benefits of modern day living. What’s more, superfast fibre broadband allows businesses to stay ahead of the times, take advantage of faster file and data transfers, and introduce new and effective ways of working.
With Superfast broadband not costing much more than standard broadband, it is more readily available to businesses and residents in West Yorkshire and York. You also have the freedom of choosing between different internet providers. For more information about how you can switch to a faster internet service, simply visit www.get-fibre.co.uk.
Don’t forget, if you are a resident or a business owner reaping the benefits of superfast speeds, you can share your story with us and this includes those considering making the switch.
