Business Support for Female Entrepreneurs

The Women and Broadband project was formally launched at the Google Garage in Leeds on Friday 16th October. Over 90 delegates attended the event which included several workshops on digital marketing etc., a panel discussion featuring our Digital Champions and one to one sessions with Google Gurus + networking.

A short video below provides some highlights of the launch event.

The programme will aim to help women-led businesses (including home based businesses) to develop their digital presence and use social media to improve competitiveness, productivity and profitability.

These activities and events will boost the knowledge, skills and confidence of women entrepreneurs, offering practical solutions on expanding market share, increasing customer satisfaction and improving productivity and efficiency through the use of digital technology.

The project has established a network of female digital champions who have used digital technology to transform their business and can share their experiences and provide guidance to others. Champions will offer mentoring to participants that wish to access this service. We will let you know about our Mentoring service in the December.
